Guys, cut it out. You've put more thought into this movie in the last twenty-four hours than the director and producer did during all of pre-production. The important thing is that Will Smith got to shoot some one-liners and Jeff Goldblum got lucky.
And if you're going to post about Spiderman 3, at least use the spoiler tags.Comment

I'll admit that I enjoyed parts of Independence Day. Other parts were cringe-worthy.
Definitely not the worse movie ever. Not even close.

Independence Day wasn't meant to be an intelligent movie, it was just supposed to be some mindless fun. Add a few action scenes here, some good one-liners there, then destroy all the aliens and then you have a movie that is enjoyable as long as you don't put too much thought into it
