Were I a human rights activist, I'd want those animal rights activists declared chimps.

So, let's start betting on Pekka vs the gunchimp.

          I give the chimp 2:1

Oh, wow. I had hopes that this outbreak of Austrian stupidity would pass unnoticed.

Corporations are treated as "persons" because it makes lawyers more money. Making chimps into "persons" wouldn't make lawyers enough money to make it worth it.

Because corporations are persons so we can sue them and prosecute them. You can't do either with a chimp.

                  You get a 0/10.

Why not? We can charge chimps with crimes and put them in jail. I don't see any problems with that. Suing them would be difficult because they wouldn't have money. But neither do homeless people. And at least a chimp isn't going to hit you up for change while you are walking down the street.

It's the same for a lot of homeless people... like the really crazy ones.

I think we should treat the status of "person" on a league basis, like in football- with a competition for a restricted number of slots available.

In practice, it would work like this- if Chimps get promoted to "person" status, people who read the Daily Mail get relegated to the status of higher primate.
The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland
