I saw Fassbinder's Why Does Herr R. Run Amok? last night. Its a mind-numbingly boring movie, but it was intentional. Its about a middle-class guy and his boring life. At the end, you understand perfectly why he runs amok and you're just about ready to run amok yourself

Tonight, I'll be be watching the fourth DVD of season 2 of Deadwood. I just realized that the Swearengen character was based on a real person. I thought the name was a play on words: swear engineLet us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing

I've been watching the Lonesome Dove mini series (Dead Mans Walk, Comanche Moon, Lonesome Dove, Return to Lonesome Dove, Streets of Laredo). Epic western series that makes you long for the open plain and the company of other men. Ridin' free, movin' cattle...I love being beaten by women - Lorizael

I saw Muriel's Wedding for the first time a few days back. A quirky movie, but one that rightly was not a mainstream hit (in my opinion).
I liked Toni Collette in it, and it was a good sign that movies can feature women who don't look like lingerie models. But it left too many questions open for there to be any feeling of closure, and its handling of darker social issues was likewise merely descriptive rather than commentative.
Decent movie to watch if you're with somebody who appreciates offbeat cult movies."lol internet" ~ AAHZ

Why would we want to watch a movie without lingerie models in it?Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

I saw the last DVD from season 2 of Deadwood last night.
Spoiler:Too bad Wolcott, a character straight out of Dostoevsky, killed himself... But it seems that E.B Farnum could take his place...
