For those who liked City of God
There is a new movie "Tropa de Elite" which is also about violence in Brazil, but from the point of view of Elite cops (marines/israeli army level elite cops who are the ones who enter into the brazilian favelas for the most dangerous missions)
It criticises, drug dealers, regular cops for their corruption and left wing middle class/high class students who do drugs and defend drug dealers
Some say it (the movie) is kinda fascist.
It is very good, and very violent. I think it is the most popular Brazilian movie currently.
