So that's what the movie was called. I have seen it 10 or 15 years ago and liked it a lot but untill now I didn't know what the name of the movie was.

"The Beast" is indeed wonderful!

It's the first movie I can remember that was sympathetic to both sides. I identified with the Russkies, so I really wanted them to escape. At the same time, I identifed with the Afghans, so I really wanted them to blow those lousy Russkies devils to Hell.

After missing her bus one day, Madeleine is picked up by a smooth-talking man named Tony Dill (Heinz Hopf), who hooks her on heroin and forces her into prostitution

The Daryl Hannah character in Kill Bill is an hommage to Madeleine. Madeleine loses her eye in a very explicit scene and then wears an eyepatch. Her clients call her the pirate. Then she decides to take her bloody revenge... I was also suprised to see explicit sex scenes in a 1974 "mainstream" movie. There was even an anal scene.
