Smoke in the kitchen

Hmmm... once I was heating up some honey to liquify it, put the jar in a pot of water over very low heat. Forgot it was on and went and played some basketball for a few hours. Came back home and the honey was just a black residue on the inside of the jar. Poor honey.

The other major blunder I've made while cooking was to leave the eggs out of a recipe for brownies. They turned into charcoal briquettes. Poor brownies.

There'd be more stories, but usually I refrain from cooking anything more complicated than PB&J. (or PB&Honey...)

I ahve shattered several pots.

They definitely looked like the sort of thing you put on the stove, so I put them on the stove, followed the direction son my pot of pasta, poored the milk in... then a bit late rthey shattered.

One looked like a pot but was made of glass or ceramic or something. The other was also made of glass or ceramic or something.

I still have this thing made out of glass or creamic that looks like a small (2 egg) frying pan.

I haven't used it in the 5ish years since shattering my other two... things.

Ideally I would fine a woman to cook for me every now and then though.

To throw some type of wrench in this joke, the guy she dated before me was Muslim and he beat her.

Not that she is the type to stay with an abusive guy...he drove many miles just to do it.

When I was in college, a couple roommates & I decided to see exactly what would happen if we put an egg in the microwave. We had an idea, but seeing is believing. We stuck it in a small, empty margarine tub, set the timer (I forget how long), turned it on high and let it go.

Waiting...waiting...nothing happening. One guy took a closer look through the window. Couldn't really tell anything. Scant seconds after he pulled away - BOOM! The egg exploded, blowing the door all the way open. If he had still been there, it would have smacked him in the face.
