Agree with Ming and a few others.
One was the best. And we saw it in a preview so it truely was a surprise all the way through. And I'm sure that's one of the reasons why I rate it better than two.

But two had more rewatch value. And it was a fun romp. She was already know as a tough *****, and this movie got to really take advantage and refine it.

3 and 4 didn't cut it for me. And I won't even discuss alien vs pred

As many in the US knows, all four films have been ALL OVER the many cable movie channels for the last few months. I've had a chance to rewatch all four movies.
The first one was still fun, but without the suspense, it just wasn't the same as when I watched it for the first time. Still good... but it had lost some of its appeal.
On the other hand, the second movie holds up well.
Even knowing what's going to happen, the action scenes just keep you going.

So, for first viewing, I liked one better... for repeat viewing, I like 2 better.

And yes, Alien vs Preditor was REALLY BAD!
