Think of it as slander if you will. Who would want to become an internet joke? Think of star-wars kid or of that "shemale vids" guy, that became the laughing stock of the internet in 48 hours.
I thought both of those cases are hilarious.
If you thing there is something you do that you have to be ashamed of because it's bad, most chances are that you shouldn't be doing it.

what if its not bad, but society thinks it is. Or what if its capable of being taken out of context?
