It implies that everyone works. Being a noble is not working. I can't believe that you are trying to say now that feudalism was not exploitive.
What. The. ****. I never said any such thing!
Again, Kid, please read what I write and try not to make assumptions about what I'm thinking. Feudalism was exploitive, and I never wrote otherwise. Specialists include more than just feudal lords and soldiers, though. A merchant is a specialist. Hell, a farmer is a specialist - that's the whole thing. In a sedentary farming society, EVERYONE is a specialist of some sort. Not that they're all equal, mind you - that's another matter entirely. Accountants are specialists. Insurance claims handlers are specialists, etc.

We are discussing the transformation of a hunter-gatherer society to a agricultural society. Accountants have nothing to do with it.

I'll go buy some steak and wine, and drink to the fact that what I posted in post #2 never happened!

Why is everyone assuming that living within the ecosystem entails everyone having saintly virtues? Talk about a strawman...
Arrian the creation of a noble class is not specialization. It came about because of the institution of private property. When some peoples crops failed or they couldn't take care of them they had to sell their land to survive in many cases. They then became landless and peasants. Then you have people who can pay other people to work their land.
There are other ways that it happened. It did not happen due to speicalization of labor. Sorry to ruin your fantasy.

The creation of a non working class through the implementation of agriculture is not specialization. Bringing up accountants is absurd.
Ok, ONE MORE TRY:
Specialization merely means that people in a society do different things. THAT IS ALL IT MEANS.
In a hunter-gatherer society, there is very little specialization, though there is some. Men typically hunt, women typically gather, etc. That's about it. Everyone is involved in procuring food.
Once you get agriculture and the resultant food surpluses, society can specialize further. This allows for not only farmers, but for all manner of professions.... all the way up to and including accountants (eventually).
The proletariat (factory workers) are specialists. They may or may not be oppressed - that's another discussion - but they are specialists in our society. Ditto farmers, scientists, doctors, and on and on and on...
This is not difficult stuff, Kid. Now, you brought up the ways in which farming society ends up with an aristocracy. I don't dispute that, it sounds pretty reasonable. One farmer's crops fail for whatever reason, another's doesn't, and this creates an advantage that one can exploit. Ok. That HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I WAS SAYING.
