Did you ever use the included component HD cables? IMO, the text seems a little blurry and I'm wondering if this is partially due to the component cables. I'm still messing around with the settings (my remote, or its batteries, are faulty, so that takes some time). I'm just wondering what kind of improvement you noticed, assuming you had experience with both? Also, is your VGA cable plugged directly into the TV?
XBox VGA cable: After plugging these in (along with Toslink) I noticed a huge improvement in the image, especially text. I think this is not just because I switched from component to VGA, but the connection is now directly Xbox -> TV. Xbox Dashboard looks great, games look great. Still tweaking colors, but this thing has a solid image.
HD-DVD Drive: Plugged this in and put in King Kong (incl.).
Fantastic image. I switched Netflix to HD-DVD; first one I'll get is The Departed; also have Planet Earth for when that comes out. Also nice that the drive will upconvert regular DVDs, although I haven't tried this yet.
The only complaint I have is that I think there is a problem with the TV's IR or however it communicates with the remote. Neither the Westinghouse or 360 Remote will work with it.Comment
