    Why can't I keep my mouth shut?!

    This elderly women lost control of her bodily functions at work on Friday. So my boss kept going on and on about it. Then I said that she should have more compassion for people. My boss replied that that lady needs to wear diapers. Then I really screwed up and said, "one day you will lose control of your bodily functions too."

    I'm not fired, but my job ends on Tuesday, otherwise I probably would be fired, because my boss hates me now.

    Hell hath no fury like a women scorned. Why the hell can't I just keep my mouth shut?

                            Depends what you define as "proper". The US "at will" seems like employer biased crap to me.

                            A system like in Canada where turfing people must have cause and if it doesn't you must pay reasonable notice ( as little as a few weeks pay) seems more reasonable.

                            If we need to have .5% more unermployment as a rsult of these protections ( employers less willing to hire) I can live with that. BUt at the moment there are portions of Canada where the Unemployment rate right now is really at zero and there are unfilled positions everywhere.
