It was also nice that the person who was in my place before said that she will support me and that if I need support, I should just e-mail or call or anything. Kind of nice to know, even though I'm a Finn, so it's not like I'll make any contact. That would be intrusive .

Zoid, So people think I'd actually take all this crap and not do anything about it? No sir ... that's not an option. It doesn't even matter if everything is now cool and I get to work my stuff and I get my goals. I'd still pay it all back, for all this time's worth. I'd just wait 4 months first. I'm a patient person.

I just need to survive this time somehow, or alternatively find the least painful way to get out of this situation should I not be able to take it. I need to secure my main goals, unfortunately those are the ones she can affect.

Ahh Pekka-- My boss is right next to my office and we get along great but I reasonably frequently send him a reporting email when I have a lot of balls in the air. It helps him know what is going on and I can be more precise in how I say things than if I just jump into his office. Email is MUCH clearer all around. Actually for YOU and her it helps if you list all the things that you have to do ( I make such lists at work for myself all the time-- It really helps structure things

I think I should try to work as much as I can, complete my main task first if that's somehow possible. I'm tracking all my worked hours, and what I did on those hours.

After a month or two, I'll be able to show what a huge load I've had and how much I finished. Like I said, I'm a fast worker so I can show I did a lot as well. Then I can say my salary is too small for the effort and tasks at hand.

Either way, I want to be paid much more, and I want extra credits for the works, I want all the benefits, but that's being nice and I'm sure it's understandable.

IF she disagrees or decide to be *****y about it, I have documented it all, so I have better chances defending myself should she try to mess up my studies. That is, she has a horrible track record, a known abused and a psycho, and I can show I did all this, so you know, I won't burn no matter what she tries I figure. If she agrees to raise my salary (she has can do that by boosting my percentages) and give me all kinds of extra credits, **** we can make up courses for that matter, well, I'm happy for that as well.

aahz, I don't drink. Sometimes I do. Next Saturday will be crazy, boozing the whole day and night.

It's not even the amount of extra work really.. It makes me mad that I should be paid at least double the salary, at least, in my position it woudl be still justified, then again I'm doing things above my position so triple salary wouldn't be far fetched either. I'm making enough to pay the rent, eat, pay the gas and like buy a DVD or two a month. It's still not enough to save money. I should get paid three times more for thie amount of work and the skill level it requires. That's what pisses me off. Working for nothing.

Also, I'm good at what I do. I want to and I deserve to be credited accordingly. Ok, I don't need praises, but I just want to get what belongs to me. It's not only fair, it's .. it's just basic. I want to be able to show that these are the things I did, I did them well, and I was brilliant.

Pekka - console yourself too by remembering that you're not the only intelligent, hardworking and honest person who's been shafted. It's a baaaad world, and I'm sure many of here have had spells of being ruthlessly exploited until we were able to lever ourselves out of it.

yeah, but you can of least expect it to happen by your professor. The abusive nature of it kind of surprises me, and the things she's doing now, changing names of official projects. I'm pretty much amazed.
