I watched a documentary tonight called Gorillas Revisited with Sigourney Weaver, and predictably enough, it was about Sigourney Weaver revisiting gorillas. Made by the BBC no less.

I like Sigourney just fine, I haven't heard her version of the narration but I can't see how she could muck it up too much. It's just offensive to us as Sir David pretty much IS the voice of nature programs here, is one of the more universally liked people I can think of and he does it so damn well. Add in the fact that this series is british made and another english speaking country feels the need to overdub another english narrator who was already good? (do any americans find david hard to understand? it's not exactly trainspotting).
Not seen these in HD yet, but i've already watched them twice in SD and it's pretty gorgeous viewing just like that. Has anyone seen the 3 extra episodes they did about the future of planet earth? I've only seen them on torrents, I don't get to see tv much but i've paid my license so I don't feel any guilt in downloading them. It's pretty sad viewing, the makers of the series paint a stark picture if we don't do something (it's not all bad though).Comment
