By which I mean the Danny Boyle sci-fi film, not the solar phenomenon. I'm generally indifferent to sci-fi, but the genre rings the chimes of lots of people in the OT so I thought I'd ask.
Anyway, it looks like this film has now opened everywhere in the world except the US (where it doesn't open until September
). I caught it last weekend and, although I didn't find it entirely satisfying, I have found myself thinking about it all week -- which is more than I can say for most crap I see in theaters. It also seemed better than any crew-in-space film I'd seen since Aliens, though I'm not sure that's saying much.
No spoilers from me, but I will say I liked the first two-thirds of the film, which was primarily psychological, far more that the action-oriented last third.
