It would be funny if someone on here was a cop that did a reverse sting-- you know where the cops act the role of cyberstalker to meet the teen so that they can notify the parents and try to warn the teen of the dangers of cyber stalkers.
But in what betor has suggested . . . ie meeting someone in public with her parent present or around.. I don't see any crime there. Dateline could probably still question anyone that wanted to meet in that way but it doesn't have the pizzaz of the folks expressly looking for sex from teens.
