I just heard of a pretty interesting job yesterday that a friend of a friend has. He lives in Atlanta. Basically he has a really small moped. He runs a service where drunk people call him, he drives to them, puts the moped in the trunk, and then drives them home or to another bar. He makes pretty decent money doing it.

I bet you would get a lot of work doing that in vegas.

If it is a city full of drunk drivers, then you have a good market. And it would pay better than a taxi driver. And like Pekka suggested, you could always just run the company.

It's the first I've ever heard about this, and it still seems like a good idea. It's always the problem of having your car already somewhere and now you can't drink, because you'd need a taxi home and then you need to go back in the morning to get the car back. So it's better than a regular taxi service, if you're in a situation like that, and you often are.

What could be benefitial is to first do it yourself, do it for a good few months at least. Learn all the things in it, so you know the ins and outs of the whole job and the situations. Then, recruit one or two young guys looking for an extra buck to join you, do fewer hours with the moped and focus more on organizing the two guys, pay more attention to marketing youself cheap, flyers and all kinds of stuff. See how it goes, expand and hire few more guys with the mopeds etc.

It could be profitable, especially if there's no huge competition already.

I took a dumb job doing tedious house refurbishing work. The entrepreneur who employs me thinks I'm smart and now wants me to manage another business he owns and no longer has time to manage properly.

Some years back I was working 2 jobs. One was night shift in a motel. At one point they wanted me to take a management position. Didn't like their low-man-gets-crapped-on style of management, so I declined.

So: take a dumb job, but make sure it isn't at some mindless burger franchise, etc. It can grow into something better.

for dis, medical assistant is the shortest schooling he could do. one year , surgical technician is also good field pay is ok for both when ya start out but gets better with experience. Pharmacy tech is ok pay and school not as long as it takes to be a full fledged pharmacist.
