An internationally recognized government that is stuffed by venal and bloodthirsty warlords who are widely loathed by the population, if only because the only policies so far have been aimed at self-survival. It has zero legitimacy within Somalia and now gets propped up by one of Africa's most repressive regimes.

You must not have read the part about the militias hiding in the crowds of people and firing from them. It's a typical tactic used by the Muslim dogs to hide in civilian buildings and areas and then claim war crimes when there are civilian casualties.

Sad for this country. They have gone through so much, and now this.

What makes matters even worse is that almost everything the rest of the world has done to help them, has gone wrong.

I truly wish there was a way to end this conflict.

Im not sure what Baruk Khazad is , but if they speak Judeo-Dwarvish, that would be "blessed are the dwarves" - lord of the mark

There is a way. It is the only way left now.

But the world is too cowardly to use it.

Direct and overwhelming use of military power to annex the territory, establish a state, maintain peace for twenty to thirty years, THEN start forming the nation's army, and ten years after that, quit.

Perhaps a chance for India to take a greater role on the world stage?

Methinks Ethiopia needs to go all out and crush those "Islamic Court" f*ckers one and for all.

There is another way. To let the Somalis mind their own goddamn business and not interfere when one party consolidates control. If the world-community have been serious about returning stability to the territory they would have long recognized the autonomous and relatively competently-governed Somaliland by now. Instead Somilia is now turning into the latest hotspot for would-be jihadists to expell the "zionist" invaders. Astonishing nothing was learned from the Iraqi experience.

It's a typical tactic used by insurgents of any colour. And naturally, there wouldn't have been any insurging if the Ethiopians hadn't invaded to prop up an imposed government composed of thugs.
