WHat it really comes down to in a long run are few things:

i) general support (platform, games, standards etc.)
ii) continuity, how does the launches bridge together, the developer predictability, brand stability. Basically do people expect what they get and do they get what they expect.
iii) Overall branding in and synergy values of console wars, meaning companies and industries are always shaking hands

OK, this is Betamax vs VHS plus many other things at the same time. Sony choose Blueray. This will have more consequences than the initial console sold. Should Hollywood go the other way, which is still expected, Sony will be in trouble. Should most games go the way of Blueray, Sony is in trouble. Should the better games and most of all the wider game base go to someone else than Sony, it will be in trouble (what the situation in fact is at the moment).

As Microsoft integrates more and more through their developements, there will be a bridge in services. It isn't just the war between consoles now, it's also the decisions made earlier that will carry over to the next launch of all consoles as well.

So.. Sony has to sell and make deals like crazy to make up the bridges.

Anyway, I'll admit to a) not really reading your posts, so missing out on your explanations, b) not really caring about your explanations, and so remaining willfully ignorant about the actual circumstances, c) being perfectly alright with being willfully ignorant, because frankly, I don't care what mental disorders you may be suffering from, since it's my understanding that schizophrenia, if you truly do suffer from it, doesn't affect the cognitive abilities that would be used on these boards, d) not really seeing how it's even germane to the topic at hand, and a whole bunch of other justifications I'm too lazy to codify and list.

your LITTLE innuendo was that i somehow screwed myself over by using my disability as a shield to end my conflict with Loinburger... as that was not my purpose, as ive stated now MANY times, you have completely taken this WAY out of context...

and it is not ME who is threadjacking... it is all of you who keep trying to use me as pwnage or whatever and continue to poke and prod and make jokes, after i was quite willing to let this whole situation go away. my whole original purpose was to defend my friend Laurentius from a personal attack and that is what i did. i was very polite the whole time, maintained my patience, and didnt get "out of line..." i must admit though i AM getting a little upset at those of you who are blatently spamming Lauri's thread and turning it all around on me. I will now return this thread back to its intended purpose and that is:

Nintendo will be around a LOT longer than the PS3 will... that is just obvious fact...
