    I don't get that Image Q.

Blueray is for the ignorant masses. Which is Sony's target audience. Sony knows this is the largest section of the audience. 50%

Microsoft is expecting the intelligent sector (20%) to rise in 20 years time, which they hope will destroy Sony.

Nintendo is for the mind numblingly simple people, (30%) of the worlds population.

**shrug** I hope the stalemate continues. It can only benefit the consumer in the end when s/he has two or three companies fighting for his/her money, rather than just one behemoth.

The imagery that should be conjured is that clearly some posters are more than willing to suck whatever Sony's spewing out down like it's some miracle protein shake.

(Not that others are any better in many cases, but this is as bad as Apple's RDF, or the Bu****e's blind Belief.)

"The world may never know..."
Ah, I remember that "debate." As I recall, I didn't know what I was talking about so I tried to bluff my way through by being pompous. Heh. Well, it's water under the bridge now, n'stuff. But I'm still psycho pro-life.

AAHZ, what exactly is your disability? Sorry about the Special Olympics crack, I didn't know--it's impossible to keep track of what everyone on Poly is or isn't. Whatever it is, I agree with Loin that you shouldn't be using it as a shield. Me, I'm a high-functioning autistic (Asperger's syndrome, and actually diagnosed; I'm not one of those people who sees a list of symptoms on the net and decides he must have it), but I don't use it as an excuse for my actions when I act like a heel. I acknowledge that it might have been a factor in my acting like a heel, but it's still wrong for me to act like a heel. The road to social acceptance does not begin with demanding deference in that way.

On-Topic: The PS3 still sucks. Even the mouth-breathing community of fourteen-year-olds on GameFAQs have known it's going to crash and burn for months now.

              Elok,

i didnt mean to use it as a "shield" nor did i intend to use it to "win" any argument... although i understand why it can be construed that way. I wasnt clear why i brought it up to begin with, only to clarify the reason why i DID bring it up in a later posting. by the time I "DID" clarify it, it was too late... everybody already thought i used it as a "shield," instead of just merely pointing out the fact why i do not currently work... i admit that was a mistake on my part...

and since you asked... i have no problem telling you that i suffer from Schizophrenia.

Ah, I met a schizophrenic once. He was surprisingly easy to relate to, he had the same feeling of "distance" about him as we do. He kept it pretty well under control, or so it seemed to me. He said something about using Pavlovian conditioning techniques on himself, though it wasn't clear how he did it.

                  Elok,

Pavlov was one of the types that truly tried to understand the mechanics of the mind rather than to dope people up with drugs and stuff. i personally would rather study the techniques of Pavlov, rather than take pills forever. But again i am getting off the topic, so let me just say...

Nintendo started it all... and will be around FOREVER... so to all the Nintendo-haters i say this:

Because one of the posters with whom I disagree on a regular basis is deaf. When I leave the forums for weeks at a time because of a business trip or vacation, he doesn't accuse me of chickening out of an imaginary debate that I didn't even know we were having (after denegrating an awesome tetris music video ), nor does he pull an "I'm deaf and so I spend all of my time online and am offended that you would leave the forums for weeks at a time in order to go on a business trip or vacation."

and the topic of the thread is the Sony PS3...
Poor chip design (due to lack of support), and used as a Blu-Ray marketing tool. Asher has already addressed the marketing hype.

My condolences. My own mental illness only interferes with my life on an irregular basis -- I don't know how well I could handle it were it to interfere on a day-to-day basis as I imagine your schizophrenia must.

                            • i see now people are going to use this against me as to where my original reason for bringing it up to begin with was THIS quote by Loinburger:

                              by Loinburger,
Are you gainfully employed? If not, then it hardly surprises me that such a turn of events is completely beyond you.

so thats why i said it... i was being honest as to why i dont work. since people have taken this COMPLETELY out of context and think used it as a shield i say: WHATEVER... my reasons, i think, are extremely clear for stating what i said.

and to those who seem to think i have been pwned or what not i can only say this...

i am not perfect. i tried my best. and you cant win them all. i am not that self-styled BAMF i used to be. this whole thing started because Loin insulted my friend Lauri. So take this whole situation however you will...

Cause it endangers the life of the disability?
