Wigs and foxes is a perfect basis for a legal system
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

No need for that: Harry will come back from Irak and go bat**** on his own family.

I think the Americans get to claim the legacy of the Puritans as their own, not you lot.

I want to rescue you from an afflicting prejudice. The Code Napoléon was not written by Napoléon who, by the way, did not discover the concept of the code of law, as any Civ gamer knows.
If you are interested, I may add that the first code of law was created 4000 years ago under Hammurabi, and that the concept of code is widely recognized as a very useful tool, largely used even in the US.

The US legal system is far closer to the UK's than the French.

US cases are cited in UK courts French ones aren't

Do you really want to remind people of this? The American legal system is a joke...

...and the defining trait of common law is not that it's stipulated by the common man. Legal systems in the US, Britain and continental Europe more of hybrids anyway.

There is a big statue of Cromwell at the houses of parliament.

We are quire proud of him really.

Last detail about the 25% limit:

Considering that the US do not accept to change, the EU members have decided to reciprocate against US investors who did not face this limit till now. So, the US have obtained a reduction of the rights of Americans

Free-Trade is more and more difficult to understand …
