    That doesn't mean it's bugfree...

I'll take a video of it next time it happens to me for you.

As for lack of upscaling, lack of streaming, etc...that's all fact you can easily find for yourself.

    Sooner than later I suppose.

Which ones are coming out soon?

How much do all you Euros have to pay for the PS3?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Please, just stop. Your trolls are too painful when you try.

The PS3 is a closed system doing a simple task of playing a bitstream. It should not be crashing, period.

Your ignorant troll is noted and ignored.

Yes, but he couldn't find them because the 360 HD-DVD doesn't freeze. I know this because I've watched about a dozen movies on it.

The PS3 bluray player is noted for its freezing. The reason the 1.50 update was quickly patched was because it caused bluray movies to freeze several times per hour. The 1.54 update fixed most of them, but it still freezes...

No, I didnt look, cause I dont own a 360 HD, i was only interested in systems where the problems actually caused me grief.

                    but since youre so interested

If you're going to troll a techie, you need to do it convincingly.

It's very clear from the forum and his solution that the problem was not inherent in the 360, but with his stupidity in placing the subwoofer so close to an optical disc drive (um, duh?).

it is hard to find 360 HD DVD freeze info. Cause theres no propietary name for the HD, like Bluray, and whatever there is is buried under reports of game freezes on the 360. of which there is no shortage at all.

"HD DVD" is a proprietary name, rabbi. Thus the "TM" after it.

                          You lose.

Have you ever played them, though? I watched a guy down the hall from me play through the first couple of levels on the first one. I guess the combo system I hear so much about might make it more fun to play than it is to watch, but I wasn't impressed. It looked like an interactive version of the UFC fights on SpikeTV: a lot of grunting and smashing designed to work teenaged boys into a blood frenzy. Plus they had the most evil crate-pushing puzzle I have ever seen, and they put it on the FIRST. FREAKING. LEVEL.

                              thanks.

                              From DVDreview.com

Since day one Toshiba has claimed that the HD-DVD player is much more sophisticated than other consumer electronic machines, such as DVD players. The company claimed it had a real processor, memory, an operating system and so forth. Well, apart from the fact that a DVD player also has a CPU, memory and an operating system, I do concede to the fact that the one in a HD-DVD player needs to be a bit more elaborate than the one for a DVD player. None of that excuses the glitches found in the first generation player however, such as overly long boot-up and disc loading times or the freezes that occur occasionally. (In fairness I have to point out that my Pioneer DVD player also suffers from very frequent intermittent lock-ups which I find entirely unacceptable.)

                                Umm....okay?

I agree completely with him. Lockups are unacceptable in DVD playback.

I hope you are aware your post has absolutely nothing to do with any game console. This is why you can't troll...
