A 13 year old boy cannot give consent. At that age, sex isn't understood. Such an experience cannot be put in the proper context. It's abuse. It's rape, whether or not there was resistance or not...

I don't think there should be standards when it comes to this sort of thing. I think each case should be looked at on it's own merits. However, I don't see a problem with the sentence. That woman preyed upon that boy. Whether or not she comes off as a vicious "sexual predator" is irrelevant. She crossed the line. She raped and abused a boy (abuse is not always physical).

I'm not going to discuss whether or not prison or the length of sentence were correct rulings. That's not the issue here. That's more a question about our criminal justice system in general than this particular case.
To us, it is the BEAST.

ahh to be 13 again. Actually I wasn't interested in sex back then. I'm just now hitting puberty.

call me a chauvenist or whatever, but female on male statutory rape doesn't seem as bad as the opposite. Although 13 is very young. 15 or 16 would be no big deal.

I don't know ANY definition where I would consider THAT woman hot.

and as we all know, if she HAD been extremeley hot, the sentence would have been much lighter since we would all know that any sensible man or boy would enjoy sex with a hottie. Given her very unattractive appearance, I think the state should appeal and seek a longer term

Yup its an attitude that many people share. Its the same reason parents flip at the idea of their 15 year old girl having sex but are not as flipped if its the boy.

In the statutory rape thing imagine if this were a man with a 13 year old boy and consider the sentence you would consider appropriate. I'm betting that the "gut" of many on here is that 10 years is lenient.

The only ones who seem to get long arrests seem to be the women who are not very good looking.
Yeah, the hot ones get off easy while the ugly ones get the book thrown at them.

My parents wanted to send a guy i gave a bj to to jail [he was a bit older]. And kill him and stuff, but he said he wouldn't. I'm just not allowed to talk to him anymore. I think my dad would shoot him if he knew we fukked.

I DO go to school. I'm not there today because my flight got in at 10:15 EST. The flight I was on before that left 23:45 GMT. I've been awake since yesterday morning. I'm kind of clenaing my room and unpacking and stuff. Also, going to school has nothing to do with that.
