Obviously you've never driven an 80's era non-Luxury euro-car before. One of my co-workers back in high school drove a Renault Le Car and it was terrible! The thing barely ran and it wasn't that old. My dad had a thing for British roadsters and always owned a couple in various states of disrepair; he dispised Lucas Electric since their parts would fail on a monthly basis. The first new car he ever bought was a Sunbeam Alpine roadster (made by British Leland) and he actually ended up paying more for repairs then the total cost of the car payments!

I did like my friend's Fiat 124 convertable as it was a sporty little roadster but the thing just would die all the time for some unknown reason. It was like a ghost inhabited the car which would break things if the proper animal sacrafics weren't performed before each use.

VW's are all right, I've owned two over the years, but compared to American or Japanese cars they really aren't as reliable. I do like VW's designs though design was never a European problem. They always made nice designs but in the end their cars are just fragile things unless you buy a high end luxury car.

Ignoring the point of the thread?

          Interesting comment on the methodology-

the Warranty Direct study most likely includes any problems that are not covered by the factory warranty but are covered by the extended warranty. Factory warranties in the UK generally run three years, but they also have mileage limits. If the mileage limit is reached first, then Warranty Direct can pay a claim before the car reaches its third birthday. If a part is not covered by the factory warranty, Warranty Direct could also pay a claim on a younger car. And factory warranties differ. Mazda appears to offer a bumper-to-bumper 60,000-mile warranty. Toyota also offers a 60,000-mile warranty, but only on mechanical defects. Honda’s warranty also only covers mechanical defects, but for 90,000 miles rather than 60,000. Surprise: Warranty Direct’s claim rates are nearly twice as high for Toyotas as for the other two.

            How's that for on topic?

In any event extended warrenties aren't that good of a way to measure things as some people opt out, some warrenties cover more things then others, some have deductibles, and other such things which make comparisions difficult.

Canadians should stop harping on Americans for ignorance and start focusing on themselves for insignificance.

Isn't this 2007? Get with the times.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I'd love to try newer models but seeings how most of their manufactures have been forced off of this market due to low product quality...

Mazda's bumper to bumper is 36,000 miles, not 60,000.
Toyota's bumper to bumper is 36,000 miles.

It depends on the country. Which once again highlights why the OP is rubbish.

                          From the article.

The study, which was conducted by independent automotive warranty specialists, Warranty Direct, looked at the reliability of more than 450,000 vehicles, from 33 manufacturers, across the UK and USA. The resulting ‘Reliability League Table’ shows the number of failures reported for every 100 vehicles covered by its warranty policies.

You mean from the article from the competitor with rhetoric easily debunked with research...

                              In the UK:
                              Mazda: 60,000 miles (3 yr)
Toyota: 60,000 miles (3 yr) [your source lies, this isn't just for mechanical warranty...]
Honda: 90,000 miles (3 yr) [your source lies, this isn't just for mechanical warranty...]

Yes, Honda has a distance coverage advantage, but that's not a big deal considering by virtue of size, the vast majority of the cars in the survey are from the US (which is completely identical across the board, warranty wise), and the difference in the UK warranties are minimal.

Do you have anything real to say aside from displaying you have done no research whatsoever?

Always nice to watch you flounder after being stomped.

You have been beaten. I know you will continue your usual method of beating a dead horse and refusing to admit the obvious but my work is done here. People who read the thread will know you got beat using your own OP.
