I agree PH. KSM is an angel who had no role in AQ what so ever. We obviously beat him into the confession he signed.

That's a poor rebuttal Dino. I don't know what he is or is not guilty of, be it 'the any' to 'the minority' to 'the majority' to 'the all' of those crimes, but the logic applied by your sarcasm is appalling. You can do better.

I don't respect PH enough to bother putting in more effort what is obviously a wasted effort. I'd be inclined to believe that the great majority of his confession is true. A small portion of it is likely puffing up his own ego. I just find the idea that a man who we had evidence on before his capture is some "unassuming bloke" as PH idiotically assumes him to be as being evidence of delusion.

Let's attach electrodes to your balls and writhe around in agony and see what you manage to confess to, eh? I reckon we could probably get a confession to masterminding the Holocaust if we get the right voltage

You mean "I can't be arsed putting my best effort into a rebuttal when PH will rip me a new one anyway"

Torture and duress does things to the mind, they'll even start to believe the things they are saying if they are being caused enough suffering. Nothing extracted under extreme duress should ever be admissible...simple as that.

I don't assume anything about this bloke. I do know that evidence extracted under duress is worthless, and they've probably made it very hard to undertake an effective professional criminal investigation.

Let's torture all terrorists until they confess. The American public will buy it, just like they bought the pre-motivations for invading Iraq.

because weight and hairiness always correlate negatively with the ability to run a terrorist operation. That should help the profilers, look for the thin hairless guys only.

Still, clearly after prolonged detention and enjoyment of offshore leisure complex facilities and all the luxurious treatments on offer, Kebab Sheikh Marshmallow is without a doubt responsible for whatever shopping list of terrorist incidents he admitted to having devised, as well as other as yet unaccomplished outrages, and the killing of Bambi's mother, Marilyn Monroe, Mahatma Gandhi and Litvinenko.

I suspect with more time to reflect on the matter and enhanced motivation, he could also agree to being his own grandmother, the Pope and the star Betelgeuse.

I doubt hes responsible for everything he confessed to,
esp given thats hes known for puffing up his own role. But I think its very likely he is responsible for several attacks for which there is already fairly considerable evidence apart from his confession.

Sorry for giving a serious answer to what was clearly sarcasm. Im truly sorry for my humor bone not being fully functional when it comes to mass murderers.

Alleged mass murderers, or has there been a change in the law over there ?

Innocent until proven guilty used to be the familiar phrase.

Of course, when even Tom Daschle is linked through innuendo with Saddam Hussein, no one can be deemed entirely innocent any more, can they ?

See, I recall from the U.K.'s 'war on terror' (white, mainly Christian, Irish Republican terror- funded by some Irish-Americans) that confessions were forthcoming from the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six- with forensic 'evidence' to back them up.

Of course that these 'confessions' had been obtained under a degree of duress I'm sure made them no less reliable.
