  • Huh? I found it in the forum Civ2/ToT General.

    • Huh, indeed.

The ToT section is not the center of the CIV2 world on Poly - The Civ2-Creation/Scenario League is.

That solves the reason why I did not see the link.

I moderate the CIV2 Scenario League.

As per tradtion... the HOF thread is usually posted in the general forum of each active game. By doing it in the general forum, it then covers ALL active members of the game, and not just one segment. It would require far too much work to post it in EVERY forum.

In past years, it wasn't even included in as many forums as it now is. Now that it is posted at least somewhere in the Civ II forums, we usually have a discussion on who we should back. We have done a great job of getting many deserving Civ II contributers in. Next time, you should check it out and submit the people you think deserve it to the entire Civ II community, and maybe you will get some support
          Keep on Civin'

                No problem, Ming!

Next time the HOF election comes around, I will link to
the thread from the CIV2 SL and get our posters to vote.

We CIV2 types should be more proactive.

Many of us already are. We've been able to move forward pretty much everybody on our hit list. Considering that most of the hard core Civ IIers are long time members, we each carry a lot of votes

And since when was retro a bad thing?

                            CIV2 rules supreme.

                            That is all.

                            • well... I'd still play Xcom if I could. I was actually thinking about installing civ2 just so I could hear the advisors again. I miss them. One of these days I'll play an old retro game.

But as far as gameplay. Civ4 pwns Civ2.

                              • All things evolve it is true - CIV4 is a fun game.
I wish that CIV2 had better AI and more civs.

But the board-game feel is what keeps me coming
back to CIV2 - I think CIV4 does not match that.

It comes down to a matter of taste at the end.

                                Each to their own -
