Not really, Jaako. While I respectfully disagree with Sloww on immigration policy, it's not about "taking our jobs" for the posters here at 'poly.

You aren't going to tell us it's about obeying the law are you?

I would refer you to, for instance, Slowwhand's posts or perhaps DinoDocs (actually, I don't recall DD's position on this, so scratch that) for their reasoning. I was merely saying that those 'poly posters who tend to get riled up about illegal immigration do not base their opposition on "they're taking our jobs."
I personally am for more *legal* immigration and/or work visas. I don't have a problem with the free flow of labor, but I do want those people "on the grid."

One can only assume that those two hate Mexicans. I can't really get anything to grap at with those two.

Go ahead and assume that if you like. I personally do not believe that Sloww hates Mexicans. I do think he's wrong (about lotsa stuff), but that's another matter.

You seem particularly dogmatic when you post only the principles of your dogma irregardless of the issues that other people are bringing up.
Since I'm too lazy to read others' posts, I don't know what issues they're bringing up
BTW, "irregardless" is not a word.

You could have asked. I did make a thread for that purpose after all.
1) Increased enforcement and penalties against people who employ illegal immigrants.
2) People who are here have to pay somesort of penalty for their illegal actions along the lines of the comprehensive bill that failed last year.
3) I would also set up somesort of a guest worker program to allow people to come over legally.
4) Increased border enforcement.

You don't assume anything about anyone. Which is good for getting along with people, but makes you pretty naive.
I've made some assumptions in my time. But it's something I do try to avoid.
In this particular case, it's not just a matter of me not making assumptions about Sloww. I've read enough posts of his on this site about this issue to have come to my own (subjective, of course) opinion about whether or not he hates Mexicans. I don't think he does.
