    • Since it's obvious that the Kidaverse has reached the same level as the nedaverse, there really isn't any reason to take Kiddy postings seriously for an extended period.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

If you rent, a new landlord can ask you to leave in accordance with your lease. Who they are is irrelevant.

But it is consistent with your disdain for "property" in general

Ehrm, just a minor correction - they didn't pay any rent. It was a public owned building that was used to some youth activities paid by the public.

Are you brain dead, or are you just continually spewing a lie? This isn't a place for youth activities. It's not about a bunch of scateboarders losing a place to scateboard. Lenin gave speeches in that building. This is a historic facility for left wing political activity.

Yes that's the law, and I know the law. We have to pay rent. All I'm trying to do is explain to you why people don't like the law.

But the Christians aren't hurting anyone because the're helping them go to Heaven. Yeah, heard it all before bud. Sorry, I clearly see the bad guy in this one. I'll take the guys who aren't paying the bills in a heartbeat before I take up with fundamental Christians!

Why the ****, then, didn't they, in 20 years, pony up the money to buy the place? I know leftism is all about mooching off society, but sometimes ideological sacrifices must be made to common sense.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

OMG LS, I don't know why they didn't pay the rent. It might be for idealogical reasons or maybe just economic.

What I find so unbelievable is that you think this is just about the rent though? Yes they didn't pay the rent, and yes they have to by law, but that doesn't change the fact that this is about politics. Why were they asked to pay rent in the first place?

                          • The protesters say that the building was given to them. I don't know how much truth there is to that, because I can't find a source document or anything reliable.

                            • Ok it turns out that Faderhuset (Christian group) paid 2.6 million for the building. A group attempted to purchase the building for over 10 million but the Christians wouldn't sell.

                              http://www.indymedia.ie/article/79884

That group of people, said "we'll help you buy the house and give the right to use it to us". They started to offer 4 million kroner, Faderhuset paid 2.6 million, and they've gradually been increasing the offer. Last Tuesday they made a closed offer and said you have until Friday at four. So yesterday they just said no and it turned out that it was over 10 million offered. Even the right wing press in Denmark said it was a really good offer and they were really surprised that they didn't take it.
