Well to be fair, the owners of this property should have nipped this in the bud at the beginning and had them evicted, or at least negotiated some arrangement, even if it was a peppercorn rent...still, it's their property at the end of the day and no one likes a freeloader.

They're not squatters. The municipal council of Copenhagen provided them with the right to use the building - subject to conditions, one of which was that the council reserved the right to sell the real estate, whereupon the users would have to vacate it.

They haven't been living there, they've been using it as a club to practice their alternative "culture" stuff. Danish courts have ruled that the council had the right to sell, and that the users would have to leave.

The youths think that they're entitled to having the local council provide them with a place such as this, which is what it all boils down to. They're wrong, and they're also completely unable and unwilling to accept and respect the political and judicial decisions pertaining to the matter.
