      They've been in since Windows 2000, just more exposed now to newbs.

              The "Cancel or Allow" stuff is stupid. UAC operates exactly as I'd expect and only pops up when I - gasp - am actually doing something that needs elevated privileges.

                      UAC is for people who don't know what they're doing, it's a nuisance to those who do.

                          /me thought title stated Vista Blows,Suxor de@zz, ect. but now realizes, like a lottery, some do win, just not a very high percentage

                          I had nothing but problems, I still "own" a license" but am extremely satisified with my installed XP
