It is pointless trying to flip flop here, either she has the right to abort the unwanted foetus or not. What's it going to be?

You're the one being simplistic here. It is possible that the evil of abortion is less than the evil of forcing a woman to bear the child of her rapit, but more than the evil of forcing a woman to bear a child she willingly conceived.

You're clearly not aware of the definition of person.

so youd approve of circumcision, if it could be done in utero?

Obviously being forced through a small orifice is absolutely essential to being morally valued as a person.

Do whatever you want to a fetus in its first trimester.

You beat CyberShy. CyberShy, for crying out loud. That's not something to be proud of. And no, I will not be baited into resuming this same damned tedious argument over again, no matter how much you thump your chest.

No, it is the right of a woman to choose what she does with her own body. If she wants to bear it, she can, and if not, she shouldn't. What right do other people have to tell her what to do when no one else is harmed?

                              Sigh.

In general I agree with you. But you were asserting a false dichotomy:

either she has the right to abort the unwanted foetus or not

There is no necessary inconsistency in a morality that says she has the right to abort unwanted foetuses in some situations and not in others.

                              • I was asking for CyberShy's opinion on the matter...does she have that right or not...there is no inbetween. Whether she exercises that right or not is a different matter entirely...
