I accept mistakes. But repeating mistakes? They are more difficult to accept, especially when the mistakes made are easily avoided. Especially, if the mistake at hand is something that affects everyone, especially myself and my daily life. I expect the work environment to function to the fullest. I do my job, I expect others to do theirs. I forgive a lot, but sometimes I just have to put an end to careless performance. It is time to start the real bathroom war with the cleaners, who simply ignore the importance of their job.
Earlier, they had not done their duty to make sure every bathroom has toilet paper. This is unforgiveable. This is very basic, ok? You make sure the bathroom as the supplies that it is intended to have. Else, you're just not doing your job. I understand it can happen, a mistake, but enough is enough, because it didn't end here.
I went to use the facilities today, at 12:00. OK? The bathroom was first of all messy. It had all kinds of stains, that had dried up. Too much of it. Nasty. I was willing to look past this mistake. Sometimes people are messy and you can't be expected to run and search all bathrooms every 5 minutes.
BUT, when I washed my hands, there was NO SOAP!! This is a question of hygiene, not just comfort. I expect to have my hands clean after heavy duty drop. I started to get a bit aggrevated. As I turned to dry my hands... NO HAND TOWELS!!!! NONE!! They have these.. real towels, not paper ones, and that in itself is nasty, even though you don't use the same bit as the person before you did, but still, please, come on.
But the towels were removed completely. It wasn't just out of it, it had been removed from all the machines. WTF!? OK. I'm thinking they're now really busy, because I like to give the benefit of the doubt here. So I just air dried my hands. I'm a tough trooper, I can adapt.
I went to a coffee break, from which I just returned. 14:00, so that's two hours later. I was curious so I went to see the bathroom, guess what? NO improvements what so ever. Nothing had been done, still no towels, still everything messy.
I have vowed to take this fight to the people who are responsible for keeping the place nice and hygienic, a job they clearly are not doing. I am angry and disappointed, but I am not out of tools. I will win this battle and I will win this war. I don't even feel sorry for them, they are not aware that war is raging, so they will become surprised when I go on my bathroom rampage. But they deserve it, they started this war, not me. I don't want war.. I just want clean and nice bathroom, that is all. They left me no other options.
