Apparently my seven-year-old is very intelligent (according to his teachers and IQ testing and stuff). Maybe I'll have him start posting for me.

I don't believe that there is necessarily a perfectly-definable quantity of "innate intelligence"; intelligence is a conflation of a number of different types of abilities. Nor do I believe that even if there were such an ideal quantity that psychiatrists would have discovered how to test for it perfectly.
