I pay $50 for my triple (2 Mbit broadband, 15 channels digital TV and free phone)
    That's actually not that different.

The difference is while you have 15 channels and 2Mbit, I've got about 600 channels and 8Mbit...

And like I said, I'm shooting for less than $50 for my homegrown triple-play, including 10 mbits down. 10 or so channels in high definition.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

So basically, you just want to pay for an internet connection. What's the point of this thread?

I pay about $100 for cable and internet in a package. Every time the package runs out I keep getting them to give me a deal. Right now it's getting the DVR and movie channels for free. I pay $40 for my cell phone and don't have a land line.

On the balance I'd guess the government did, actually.

I can't wait til you get a C&D letter from your IT regarding ~90GB+ of activity a month in illegal file sharing.

This is not illegal in Canada, and there's no bandwidth issues.

Ah. I see, a uni connection...now they are generally pretty good - I was never in the right place at the right time when I was at uni to get a connection - it would've been great considering at that time, everything else was dial-up.

I let other people do the heavy lifting and just pull stuff off the local network. 10MB/s FTW.

I just saw the bluray demo on the 102 incher that's been making the tour. Even up close, it was fantastic.

That's why I prefer HD cable over regular DVDs.
