    The world is doomed.

    Here's the warning label on the lighter I bought today:

    WARNING! KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN, THE MENTALLY DISABLED, AND THE MENTALLY IMPAIRED! DO NOT LIGHT SELF ON FIRE. Ignite lighter away from face and clothing. Be sure flame is completely out after each use. Contains flammable gas under pressure. Never puncture or dispose in fire. Do not keep lit for more then 30 seconds. Never expose to heat greater then 120 degrees F or to prolonged sunlight.

    If we need to be warned that self immolation is bad then we are ****ed as a species.

    was it a cool looking lighter or just a boring solid colored one?

      I bought it on a Navy base I've been working on so it has a big American flag on it. It's very Republican. I'm not sure why it has a pair of boxing gloves on it but I suppose it made sense to BIC.

              I didn't just now notice it. I just now saw that it has reached obsurdities never before imagined. That says something since I grew up in the 80's which were a pretty obsurd time.

                        There appears to be some disagreement among botanists as to whether peanuts, strictly speaking, are nuts.

                          We don't need to be warned. The label is not there to warn us. Dolt.

                            Then why does it say "WARNING". I suppose a weak case could be made that the warning label is just there to avoid legal liability but the reality is the warning label is just that. A warning label.
