You think you get it bad-- My wife's brother is 6 foot 7--

He doesn't mind the crappy jokes so much but he hates it when he goes to a bar and some idiot tries to pick a fight with him for no reason at all except he is big

I am also that height. For a while when I was younger I might have said 6 feet but now I just say 5'11". Even then sometimes people doubt me since I have always seemed smaller to people than I am. Its actually nice when they underestimate my weight

Also reminds of something I partially witnessed. Three guys from my residence were coming home after a night out. A dude from a competing residence was looking for trouble. He avoided the two 6'4" guys that were obviously heavily muscled and went for the other guy that was 5' 10".

Wrong choice-- The guy he picked was a varsity wrestler in addition to being a former Atlantic Canadian boxing champion. Very short fight!!

ok, so 1,83 is 6 feet

Something funny is that at least in south america, tall begins with 1,80 un metro ochenta, but in feet countries it starts with 6 feet, a little more than an inch over un metro ochenta.

                  What about other metric countries?

I think the dutch are all over 6 feet, an offensively tall nation

Its obviously because "tall" is relative. In some Asian nations I'm sure that they would see 5'10 as being tall

+/- 2" doesn't do any appreciable difference at your height
It does if you're 5'2", as b etor is, IMO.

Heck, it would make a noticeable different for me, at 5'6". Though I've long since ceased caring about my height. Like since middleschool.

What's really funny is that a lot of the shortest guys I know sleep with more women than anybody else.

I think it's to prove that they can.

I am quite sure that the reason why 1,80 was chosen as the number which separates tall from average people is just that it is a round number unlike 1,82, 183, 179 etc. (I hope that makes sense in english)

I guess the same happens with six feet, in relation to 6 feet 1, 5´11 etc etc

You misunderstand - the reason it doesn't matter is that 5'4" is still beneath notice.

For some reason, people tend to overestimate my height. Perhaps because I'm fairly slim.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
