Meh. My parents basically said: "We don't know **** about the army, the unis or careers except our own in Israel, so make the decisions yourself.".

Az is a Chemist who is not working as one in army. I think the best options are to either do a masters in Chemistry and stay in touch with the field, or do an MBA. All during the service of course.

Not sure if it's possible in Az's specific situation, though.

In any case, career wise I wouldn't go to combat units. But then, I wouldn't survive for more than 5 minutes there anyway so it's a moot point.
