the weakness with democracy is complacency within a very large population. Its one thing when you have 50 people in your village voting and 150 million in your country, thats why decentralising government as much as possible will produce better results.

Ecthy, 2 Bushes and LBJ - and LBJ did lie us into Vietnam with the Gulf of Tonkin. When Kennedy was alive we still could have avoided turning it into our war, LBJ made sure that didn't happen.
