Others are welcome for their input. I think highly of rah's advices, they've been benefitial for me in the past, but I'd just like to see what you guys think.
My dream is to make money. I want to make money. I can already have a steady job, doing nothing all day long. This is not interesting to me. If I feel the job is too easy and/or I don't get paid accordingly, I lose my interest in a hot Tokyo millisecond. I am loyal, I do my job, but outside that, unless there's a goal for me to go at, I'm looking at goals somewhere else at the same time.
And I want money. What ever it is that I have to do, I'll do it, if there's money in it. I figure right now my best option is to take my China post however I can get it, because I feel strongly that it will be a good and valuable asset, it is now, it should be in the near future as well. So I figure I should go there, and I'd like that anyway so that's the next move. I'd like to go within the next 18 months, that's my goal now. In the next 18 months I'll graduate and have my post in China and I have started to do my thing there.
I'd like to do that consulting thing though. The thing is, I know for a fact, that should I complete my China post, I can choose a company in here I want to work for and make money. But that's not necessarily the case in NA. And the money that can be made in here is not relevant to my quest. I don't want to barely make it to the middle class. I want to be rich. I figure this will buy me time to think next moves, if and when I go to China. See what kind of offers present themselves. But if someone can help me with the quest for riches strategy wise, I'm all ears.
I should clarify what I mean by proper money. I want to score at least 100k (euros) yearly when I get to my destination. At least. Below that? Not interesting. That should be the absolute minimum. That's just comfortable middle class, so I'm definitely aiming a lot higher. Of course I'm really looking to make the money by other means, like getting a partnership, or set up my own business, but as far as salaries go, I'm not interested in anything less than a 100k. I mean of course that's unreasonable request right now, , but later on that is.
