They are more aprropriatly place to have such a demand since its THEIR country....unlike us with the Loi 101....We live in a mostly english country.

If I want to move to germany for work, I will atleast try to learn german and adapt to the people...I wont impose my language on them. I am not home, I adapt.

But that's just me.

If you want to speak english in your workplace, dont move to france...or anyother country that doesn't speak english. Stay home. That's why we have borders, fences and walls.

Just out of curiosity, to what does this refer?

And to answer a question from early in the thread about USA's official languages: please note that the USA has no official language.

There are vast cliques of Koreans on my campus that pretty much only speak Korean amongst themselves. I don't care a bit, apart from the fact that I wish they would socialize outside that group a little more. I don't think there's anything we ought to do about it.
