1. Here is a list of under 2 million population countries with at least 3 official languages:
Palau,Vanuatu, Luxembourg, Transnistria, Comoros, Fiji, Swaziland

So using your argument, these countries are the "equivalent" of France having over 35 official languages (this is exactly the same argument you used for the france->india comparison)

2. I have no opinion on this and this is irrelevant my point, which was that your "number of languages proportional to population" argument was extremely dumb. I stand by that.

Yes I do like insects and snakes...spiders also.

And yes I like france. In fact, I like every country. Every country has something great about it and I wouldn't destroy any of them. Not for some stupid union thats for sure.

If you think being anti French is an American phenomenon, you're severely mistaken. There are quite a few people in Europe who strongly dislike French selfishness, protectionism and imperialism. For instance

- the nuclear tests in the 90's, when everyone else was talking about disarmament
- the blatantly undemocratic way Trichet was enforced as head of the ECB
- the "national champion" drivel, when we really should think in European dimensions
- their outright refusal when it comes to softening up or remove agricultural subsidies
- the Airbus crisis and the way it is handled (save French interests, screw everyone else)

to name just a few examples. I share this sentiment, with all respect to our French posters. It's not a moments mood, but it has grown throughout many years. It was one of the things that actually turned me from a staunch EU supporter into an EU skeptic. The not so well behaving of the politicians of my own country being another, among some others.

Of course indulging into "kill them all" trolls doesn't do much good, either.
