Because you are one
I only see one kind of people preaching their faith on forums: religious influenced people.
My professor (christianity in a global perspectif) (I'm studying theology) learned me that there's only one thing that all christians have together: christ.
For the rest there's most probably not one thing that's being shared among all christians. And they even disagree about the question if christ was God, son of God, prophet, man, angel, wise man, etc.
Thus your quote that all the atheists share is that there is no god makes atheism as much as a religion as christianity. Both followers of these religions hardly share anything.

Open your eyes, atheists, you are part of a worldwide religion.
I wish you realised how ridiculous this makes you look. Almost as ridiculous as your insane definition of an atheist as one who posts their rants on YouTube.

Perfection, I clearly stated that all atheists are not alike. Still you react to my post as if I was trying to describe all atheists. Every atheist is different. I just mentioned some atheists and some ideas that atheism brought forward.
If atheists are so different, why are you arguing that atheism is a religion? You wouldn't, I suspect, call monotheism a religion.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

That's the problem!
I should note that atheism is the lack of faith, not faith.

I see that as a trivial semmantic argument. The vast majoirty of self-identified Christians believe That Jesus is the Messiah, son of God as alluded to in the old testement as a part of the group composed of the RCC, eastern orthodoxies, most protestant churches yada yada. This is clearly a singular religion in my view. The other folks who like Christ may belong to other religions or may be put under an umbrella term Christianity depending on how much you want to generalize it and even among all these there are far more convergant points then atheism.

My parents share me as a son.
Therefore, my parents are a religion.
That's the other side of the equation that has yet to be mentioned. Shared values does not equate religion. Religion requires elements that are generally considered supernatural and some level of traditionalism and rituals.
I can understand atheistic fundamentalism. When you are raised to believe you will burn in hell for eternity if you lust after women and masturbate, then mature to a level where you realise the Christian faith is garbage, there is a lot of bitterness for all the needless guilt you suffered.
I guess it's perfectly legitimate to censure them, then. In free countries we consider atheism a religion, and it's protected by our laws guaranteeing religious freedom. What would you know of that, though, living in a country so backwards it doesn't even have a rudimentary separation of church and state?
You can do what you like, I'm a big boy. The only thing that winds me up is that no one seems to be capable of spelling atheism...

I suppose I should be happy I don't live in a free country, then.
