Nothing in particular, I am more like trying to see the whole picture. Of specific things, though, I always notice and become interested in the computer (duh), and the bookshelf. I know that the presence of books doesn't mean the person reads them, but somehow it's usually possible to tell why the books are there and whether they've been touched or not. A bookshelf which has very neatly arranged apparently perfectly new classics books is either for show or belongs to a real book-maniac. A bookshelf which also has non-classics or books about subjects the person's interested in probably actually gets used.

That was my first pedantic thought as well.

If instead you want to know what I particularly notice, it probably depends on why I am there, for how long and what rooms I visit. If its a girls place I might be so engrossed in her rack-- er conversation that I wouldn't notice if the place had purple **** wallcoverings.


But seriously . .. I don't notice much. If the place is particularly messy or well kept, I might notice that but there is a whole continuum in-between that I would fail to appreciate. I would usually look at any displayed art or photographs though

Tattila, absolutely, but I don't seek for those actively in guy's apartment. I find the idea of a dildo in woman's place exciting, because it tells me they are fans of porn, and they won't demand lights off.

I can't dig deeper than what is at clear sight. I don't like to invade the privacy of other people. So, that is why a dildo that is left for everyone to see is a sign that sex is on, yeah?

So then if you go to a girl's place and there's no sign that "sex is on," what do you do? Ignore the rest of the place? Leave? Tell a tasteless joke to test her randiness?

Then I will look for other signs that sex is on. If it's not on, then it's not on, and we have to figure out something else to do. It is ok for girls to want something else from me than sex.
