Even that's really pushing it. The only thing "sci-fi" or even "speculative" about it is the doomsday machine, but it's simply a plot device that's never really explained and certainly never shown. The whole movie is about the absurdity of some of the Cold War mentality, so classifying it as anything remotely close to sci-fi is totally off base, IMO.

I read this book for school, I think it was in maybe 1973 or so. the book was pretty good and the movie didnt quite do ray Bradbury justice but still was ok.

Firefly was awesome, Serenity sucked. I was really disappointed in that.
I admit that I might judge it better than it deserves because of my love of Firefly.
