The pizza I liked quite well was quite simple - onion, capsicum, tomato (sometimes sun-dried), mushrooms, black olives, oregano, and lots of red chilli flakes.
I love many other toppings, but this one sort of combines a lot of them together.Comment

My friends have good taste. Animals taste good. Unlike GBS I do not conflated the two groups.
Nonetheless, a veggie pizza is acceptable if properly piled with flavorful toppings. Mushrooms, onions, black and green olives, sun-dried tomatos, and pineapple, with enough chopped garlic to make it hot.(\__/) Save a bunny, eat more Smurf!

I have to agree with Imran, thought not specifically for NY/NJ.
Nothing beats a cheese pizza when it's made right. In fact, a good way to judge pizza is to try it plain - if it tastes delicious, then its a quality pizza. If it tastes like crap, then most likely they drench it with toppings to compensate.
Unfortunately, though... quality pizza is a rarity once you leave the northeastern US and I guess parts of southern Europe.Comment
