Though strangely enough... so do the Mormons... sorta. They believe that Earth is just one of countless worlds God created life on, and that Jesus atoned for the sins of all of God's creation. (And would appear to all...)

Do Mormons really believe that Jesus came to North America and hung out with the Native Americans?
Yup, and they aint alone. The myth of the bearded white man - a culture bearer or teacher coming from the east, leaving, and returning some day is found in several places with the focal point in Mexico and spread out north and south. I suspect the Mormons encountered the Ute and decided they had found where Jesus had walked and settled down.

I spent a couple months in southern Utah around Canyonlands and Moab and I saw some strange stuff, like a 30 ft rock carving reminding me of a scene right out of the Near/Middle East - a seated king receiving a subordinate kneeling before him. Kinda like finding Solutrean blades in Virginia or red haired caucasians in western China.

I was semi-raised Mormon, I was allowed to go to church when I wanted to. No one in my immediate family went on a mission. None of us wear garments, I was under the impression that you had to be married to wear garments.

        ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!
