  • Last weeks UK storms - anyone get killed near you?

Or did you have any scary moments?

The two-year old killed by a collapsing wall happened in nearby Kentish Town, on my GF's route home from work, which was a bit close for comfort.

I didn't have to go out until the evening when it had calmed down. I was meeting a friend for a drink who works at Lords cricket ground, and he said they had a roof come off a stand.

Had some windy conditions at the game on 17 Jan.

They closed London Bridge because the roof came off somewhere on the station, so I used it as an excuse to go to the pub for four hours.

I thought London Bridge was in Arizona.

The train station stayed where it was.

It's exciting when the water is literally lifting from the lake. I have never seen that before.

That would have been awesome if the ball that was kicked into the air was blown backwards and straight into the goal.

Where I work the wind got funneled between tall buildings to make it very strong in places. It was fun sitting inside watching people wanting to go one direction being unable to walk and people going the other way in an out of control sprint. Most gave up and went underground but there were a few diehards holding on to lampposts and getting slammed into parked vans.

I had noone killed near me. The closest person was a baby in Munich which got smashed by a garden door (80 km from where I live now).
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?
