    MY point is, as far as I can recall, Iran has historically been a relatively pacific neighbor.
    That's because Iran has been a weak neighbour for most of the past several centuries.

      formenting dissent and border clashes is actually a type of agressive act.

      Using agents instead of foot soldiers is a minor difference of scale, not of intent. It is just the scale of the conflict that makes something "war" or not, which isn't always to say who's just and who is the true aggressor.

      I don't know enough however to comment about the Iraq Iran war.


      I can say that Iran is heavily involved in the Israeli-Palestinian and Israeli-Lebanon business.
      And guess what? They ain't helping peace
