Most laser beams (outside of Hollywood) are invisible.

The beam, yes. The emitter could have a lot of light scatter off it.

Ever look at the tip of a laser pointer while it's active? I mean in the general direction; looking right into a laser doesn't sound very good for your eyes.

Sorry, "real" Muslims don't speak out against the fanatics. They may occasionally decry death and destruction in vague terms, to a western audience. Name one imam, in a majority Muslim country, who has done so in Arabic to a Muslim audience.

Because you speak Arabic, have been to a Muslim country, and have analyzed the discourse of thousands of imams?

It's a bit pathetic that the real question you were asking was "name an imam we've seen on CNN".

Is the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia good enough for you?

And of course the Soviets went into Czecho with the support of some local communists. Just as the allied intervention was with the support of some Russian generals. And of course communist covert support for coups doesnt count - but when we supported a coup thats the equivalent of an invasion. Hell, if we winked at a coup thats the equivalent of an invasion.

Today's game: find the quote where the pope dissociates himself from fundies who want to put fags to the stake.

A quote where the pope disassociates himself from fundamentalist Protestants? Geez, Im gonna havta go back to like 1520 for the first.

That would be like asking when the Shia dissassociated themselves from Wahabism.

                      edit
"On June 15, 1520, the Pope warned Martin Luther with the papal bull Exsurge Domine that he risked excommunication unless he recanted 41 sentences drawn from his writings within 60 days."

                      I win.

and full credit to Paradox Entertainment for me knowing the date 1520 off the top of my head.

No its che the sincere leninist talking. Using the term communist to refer to non-leninist Marxists is an anachronism.

Nope, not necessary. Islamic terrorists do the job for us. If any Imam ever spoke out against terrorism, the fanatics would be denouncing them, burning them in effigy, etc. Or burning them for real and then denouncing them.
