On the latter point, nope. It's expression.

I would comment on this intriguing event, but I don't know how to say "who gives a rat's ass" in Latin, Middle English or Occitan. I'm sorry.

Be ther anywon, noble or commoner, who doth giveth the arse of a ratt? If so, let him stand and sayeth, "Here be a ratt's hindquarters. Taketh them, and good day be unto you!"

It's his photo, to be remembered as he wants to be remembered. Why would a school care? Seems to me that his plans for a pink tux is more disturbing.

Ha! Look at that guy. He reminds me of the dweeb's who used to come up to the plate carrying the biggest bat they could find. They were easy strike outs...or a best, a dribbler into the infield because they had no bat speed.

Give me a buckler and a short sword, and I'll have the kid dead before he can say, "Holy --!"

What if it had been a picture of him with fencing gear like some kind of snooty private school student? I think they would have gone for that and it would have blow any credibility of their case if he then switched to the Medivil picture.

This wouldn't conform with the school's zero-tolerance policy.

Yeah, not being able to distinguish between "mommyc says I need ths colt 45 to protect my milkmoney" and a pic of a geek (that's not meant as an insult - he seems to know his stuff).

But what the heck, what else to expect in a country that allows the existence of NRA ?
