Are you referring to some other article?

      Nice

So, Iran has a nuke weapons program even though the enrichment process they use only gets the material to about 5% of the purity needed to make an usable atomic weapon?
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

When was that fact unequivocally established?
          Unbelievable!

It has numerous times. They're most likely a small decade from having a functional device.

I'm more curious about the actual sources from which this 'common knowledge' originates.

I'd imagine on-site Mossad infiltrators could offer a more accurate assessment than a few CIA satellite photos of anonymous bunkers or a few phone calls by some pencilneck on the NYT floor.
              Unbelievable!

Didn't you know Oncle Boris works for Mossad? He knows what's going down

This sounds viable to be an absolutely last resort plan...

I can see the meeting over this issue:

Shadowy General: ..So in closing. That would be our last but most definite option, in case we couldn't perform the other 3...

                Shadowy Person: Wow... that's heavy.

Shadowy General: ... Yep. Well, you know. You dream up of interesting ideas when pressured.

Shadowy Person: This is crazy though.

                Shadowy General: Yep.

Shadowy Person: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Shadowy General: Let's leak it, and make everyone tremble?

                Shadowy Person: *widely grinning* TOTALLY!!

Of course, but I work for VEVAK and need to pry out what he knows for a briefing this Wednesday. Don't worry though, I'm secretly bringing them down from the inside. *taps nose*

Darius, while there is a lot of Israeli this and Israeli that in the article, it never really identifies who disclosed the information to the Times. I agree that some Americans believe the original disclosure came from Israel. But I would find it amazing, literally, that the Israeli military would disclose that they are practicing already, etc., and the high level of detail in the Israeli plans. If they did disclose it to the press, I would have to believe that the disclosure was authorized by the Israeli government.

However, if they shared all this info with the US, I wouldn't be surprised at all if someone on the American staff that had the info disclosed it to the Times. The only question I have is whether the disclosure was by the Administration or one of its oponents that still works in the Administration.

It also somewhat justifies the acquistion of nukes by the like of Iran as a deterent to the "aggressive" Israelies.
                            An astute observation.

Congrats to odd sounding farsi names.

I think the coolest organization name ever is "Mossad".

                              Silent. Powerful.
